Happy New Year To All!

Hi everyone - and a Happy New Year to you all! This post will be a little long but, I think, pertinent and helpful.

The past several years I have chosen a word (or words) for each year. This year God led me to "gratitude" and "boldness". What it feels like to me is that if I operate from a perspective of gratitude for what God has done in the past, I will be able to act from a position of boldness in what He is calling me to do in the present and future.

In order to keep my focus on gratitude, I've decided to post about things I'm grateful/thankful for 3 times a week in 2025. And since I'm not huge on social media, I figure this has to be God leading me!

So here is my first entry. I'm grateful for Christian parents and I'm focusing on my Dad, Jim Green, since today he is celebrating his birthday in Heaven.

Dad and Mom led all 5 of their kids to the Lord and Dad baptized us all. He was a pastor and missionary and loved God all his life. When we lost Mom he missed her terribly - one of the things I am thankful for is they are together again. And both are free from cancer, macular degeneration, dementia and all aches and pains.
