Reading Is Fundamental - For Me!
I’m grateful for so many things in my life – and one of the biggest is my love of reading. I learned to read at the age of 7, and I can truthfully say that I have never been without a book close by since that time.
I want to talk about 2 I’m currently going through. The first on is the Bible – always a classic. I have the Bible App – YouVersion - and if you haven’t tried it I highly recommend it. It’s free and you can pick the translation you want to use. They have a daily devotional and then LOTS of plans you can use to read daily to help you grow spiritually.
This year I’m using a plan to read through the whole Bible. I’ve done this in the past but this plan does it chronologically – as it actually happened – which I’ve never done. I’m really enjoying it and if you’re interested you’ve only missed a few days. The Plan is in the picture – the Bible Recap With Tare-Leigh Cobble. I highly recommend it.
I’m also re-reading Atomic Habits – one I try to go through every few years. It’s great to read in January when we’re all more conscious of changes we need to make. I love the way he breaks habits down and helps you understand how it all works. Easy to read, entertaining and very helpful.
I’m always reading fiction – sometimes more than one book at a time. Recently I’ve read some Agatha Christie, Nora Roberts, Thomas Kinkade, Clive Cussler, Catherine Coulter and Irene Hannon. I’m so thankful for books! They’re always there for me and have gotten me through some tough times in my life. Never miss a chance to curl up with a good book!
